So, a funny thing happened. Before I knew I was pregnant, Andrew and I had a cleaner come round and give us a price for cleaning the house twice a month. So this lovely lady comes around with her Mum, who is also her business partner, and I showed them around our house. Going from room to room, I could kind of see them trying to put a brave face on it… you see, our house is just full of stuff. And I’d never really noticed before, until I saw it through their eyes!
Kat Von D is one of my FAVOURITE brands. The first product I got was the contour palette, which is still going strong, and I also have one of her liquid lipsticks, which I love. I had a shopping voucher so decided to treat myself to a few bits from her stand in Debenhams. I say a few, I mean two, but hey that shit is expensive.
It’s a sure sign that I love a product if I actually use ALL of it. I very rarely bother finishing something if I can’t stand it – I give it away, bin it or send it to charity. Recently though, I’ve been trying to avoid buying new products to save money and instead “shop my own stash”, so I’ve got through a few more products than I usually would. I thought I’d share my most recent empties – some I love, some are a bit meh, but all are worth talking about!
I know it’s nearly the end of January, but hey, whatcha gonna do? I’ve been off radar for a few months and I’ve totally taken a step back from my blog and instagram for the time being. Now it’s a new year, I’m feeling a bit more energised, so where have I been and what’s in store this year? Well, we have some big news to share!
Nevermind winter is coming. In the North East, winter is most definitely here. We’ve had snow, winds, ice and many days of minus temperatures. So it’s time to whip out the big coat.
Hexham is a lovely town that’s about half an hour’s drive outside of Newcastle city centre. It’s an old market town, with beautiful architecture, cobbled streets and, as it turns out, a whole host of delicious restaurants. Hexham is definitely worth a visit from the city centre and you can get the train from Central Station regularly and cheaply.
Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am a sugar addict. I’m a full-blown sugar monster, I just don’t seem to be able to kick the filthy habit. So when I got invited to try Creams in Newcastle, I just couldn’t turn it down. A restaurant dedicated solely to desserts? Hubba hubba.
There seem to be a whole load of new restaurants popping up in the Toon, and I am all for it. In fact, you can check out some of my other recent restaurant reviews here. One of the latest is Côte Brasserie, a smart French restaurant on Grainger Street that’s taken over from another shut down bank.
Well, this post is a bit of a ramble, so please forgive me, but I wanted to share how I’m feeling because I’m willing to bet I’m not the only one.
