When you’re on a diet, it suddenly seems like no one else is. All you see is pizza everywhere you turn – pizza emojis, pizza on Primark t-shirts, hell, even pizza bedding. But you can’t eat pizza can you? Pizza is just out to mock you. Following a nutrition plan is hard. Temptation lies around every corner. I consider to be a person with fairly low willpower, but turns out I’ve only cheated on my plan like ONCE in the past two months. But how on earth did I do it? Follow my diet tips and you will find it easier. Promises!
Health: Dairy Free Clean Shakes Review
As you know (because I keep banging on about it), I’m on somewhat of a health kick this year. I’m eating clean and lean so my body is clean and lean. I’ve just this week hit my goal weight so it must be working, but it’s not the easiest thing I’ve ever done, particularly when you’re busy and you need to grab something and go. This is clearly where Clean Shakes have got their business idea from. In line with companies like The Naked Deli (which I LOVE), it’s clear local businesses in the North East are getting more on track with the fact that not everyone wants to snack on sausage rolls and stotties. Luckily, I was given the chance to check out the latest Clean Shakes and jumped at the chance.
Getting My Bra Fitted At Debenhams #knowyoursize
Thanks to my recent weight loss, my boobs have got loooooads smaller. How come all the weight comes off the fun parts first?! As a result, all of my bras are now feeling super uncomfortable and gaping over my cup. Not an attractive look, by any means. I was so skint throughout February that I couldn’t afford to buy myself any new underwear so when pay day rolled around (and coincided with a much-needed day off work to myself) then I took myself off to Debenhams at the Metrocentre to get my bra fitted.
Mother’s Day: Life Lessons I’ve Learnt From My Mum
Happy Mother’s Day to Mums and Mums to be out there! Seeing as I’m not actually in the UK with my Mum this year, I thought I’d do a Mother’s Day post from the heart and share the top things I’ve learnt from my Mum over the years. Not everyone is lucky enough to still have their Mum or be close to their Mum, but I speak to mine almost every day. I wanted to share the life lessons I’ve learned as I’ve grown up to the almost thirty-year-old I am now.
Best Bits: February 2016
February – technically the shortest month of the year, but I often find it feels like the longest. And this year it has felt like the longest it’s ever been in my existence. It’s still so wintry and cold, I’m totally skint because I’m dying to treat myself because of the cold miserable weather and I generally don’t have a social life because I hate going out in the cold. Did I mention the cold?
Anyhoo, I may have been a bit of a miserable bugger this month but this post is a look back on all the GOOD things that have happened this past month to keep up the positive vibes. So what did I get up to?
What’s In My Handbag?
I have only recently discovered that what’s in my handbag posts are a thing, but I actually love them! I tend to cart around quite a lot of stuff in my arm candy – and the bigger the bag, the more stuff there is – but looking at other people’s posts makes me think I’m not quite alone on that one! So what’s in my handbag now?
Health: Personal Trainer Progress Six Weeks On
I can’t believe it’s been six weeks since I started this crazy plan. Six weeks since I ate chocolate. Six weeks since I munched on toast and peanut butter without a care in the world. Six weeks without ice cream. Six weeks without grande decaf soy lattes from Starbucks. How have I survived? How have I coped without carbs in my life? Is it even bloody worth the effort? Have I even lost any weight?! Fear not, I’ve included some stats, because that is totes the juiciest bit.
Travel With Me: A Weekend in Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro! I never thought I’d get a weekend there, but life has its ways of throwing AWESOME things in our path, so I took full advantage of my serendipity and booked a spur of the moment flight. To be fair, I was already in Sao Paulo so it was less than an hour to go there. Irresistible.
Beauty: Trying Too Faced For the First Time
Too Faced – a brand I’ve heard loads about but never got my hands on before. All that changed with my recent trip to TK Maxx – a shop that is fast becoming my favourite place to pick up some make up bits from! I never used to like rummaging, but recently I’ve found some great bits and bobs from there – both clothing and make up. Of course you can never predict what you’re going to find in there, but I have a *very* long make up wish list, so there’s always something in there I want to try! Anyhoo, on to the good stuff. What did I get from Too Faced?
Maxxing Out My Credit Card: Shopping at TK Maxx
I must admit, TK Maxx is a store that I don’t often frequent – I like rummaging as much as the next person – but I’ve got to be in the right frame of mind, plus you never know what you’re going to end up with. Despite all this, I thought I’d try my chances at my local store to get a new jewellery box (a surprisingly difficult purchase!).
