I have had a really busy summer flying here, there and everywhere with work. I am super lucky to be able to count international travel as one of my work benefits, but I have had the unexpected side effect of my skin really suffering. My face is now much more oily than it used to be and my hands are more dehydrated. I’ve most definitely learnt the importance of chugging a couple of litres of water a day and I’m starting to master the art of packing flight essentials in one small, plastic bag where everything has to be under 100ml. Now is the time to pass on my wisdom!
Beauty on Trial: R.I.P. Boots No 7 Fanomenal Lash Mascara
Now let me start this by saying I am a huge Boots No 7 fan – I use their make up products in my daily routine and the skin tone matching tool for the foundation is, quite frankly, bloody genius. Add to that that everything they offer is priced really reasonably and I’m a happy bunny.
The other thing to note is that I am in constant pursuit of the perfect mascara – one that lengthens, separates and stays put all day, in the blackest of blacks. And we all know that the key to a good mascara application is in the brush. Get that right and the rest will naturally follow (with one exception, but that’s for another day).
Beauty on Trial: Clinique Sonic System Cleansing Brush
In my quest for glowing wedding-ready skin, I treated myself to the Clinique Sonic System Cleansing Brush. I had heard great things from my friend Hannah, who told me that her skin completely cleared up, with no under the skin bumps or spots, after using the brush for only two weeks. Needless to say, my expectations were high! I don’t have particularly bad skin and have certainly never had acne, but I am prone to spots around my jawline, a bumpy forehead and an oily t-zone.
