I’ve never been much of a glam gal. Don’t get me wrong, I love my makeup and I always have my nails painted, but I’ve never been bothered with fake lashes or nails, I just can’t muster up the energy. And I still can’t with false lashes (more on that to come), but I got some KISS false nails put on this week and I might just have had my head turned.
Let me start by saying, there is a reason these bad boys have a 25,000 strong waiting list. It’s because they are FREAKING AMAZING. So, spoiler alert, I’m writing this because I just have to share the love!
When I got my hair coloured (at the incredible April Egan salon) a few months back, I decided to conduct a little experiment with some new products to see whether I could cut down the amount of times I washed my hair in a week without looking like a greasy mess. So I thought I’d share with you exactly how I’ve switched up my hair care routine, because let’s face it, washing hair is a chore and wouldn’t we all love to do it less?!

I don’t want to jinx anything, but I think it might actually be… Summer – Hurray!! I have to admit, Autumn is my favourite season, but Summer is a definite close second! The colder seasons wreak absolute havoc on my skin, and I suffer so badly with dry, irritable skin from around October to February each year, but with heat and dryness of Summer comes its own set of skincare needs! So, with Mr. Sun firmly out for a while, I thought I would write a little round up of my Summer skincare favourites, and exactly why I can’t do without them.
At the moment, every blogger and their dog is banging on about the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette and I admit, it IS a beauty. But feast your eyes on this. This is the NARS NARSissist Loaded eye shadow palette (£55 from Space NK) and it is completely beautiful. Comparisons aside, what do I think of this? I hate washing my makeup brushes. It is SUCH a chore! I will do anything to make it easier, so when I saw a review of this KEDSUM Makeup Brush Cleaning Mat on Buzzfeed, I put it on my Amazon wishlist immediately. It arrived just in time because my brushes are well overdue a clean. So is it any good?
Tarte is one of those brands that I’ve admired from a distance, but never really dug into. I have seen it countless times in Sephora and yet somehow it never crept anywhere near the top of my wishlist. That all changed when I saw Roxie from The Beautiful Bluebird‘s post about the Tarte Tartelette In Bloom 2 palette. My heart skipped a beat. I had to have it!
It is a truth universally acknowledged that good skincare costs a lot of money. Right? Well, that’s what I thought. Until I came across The Ordinary from Deciem. I can’t quite believe the quality of their skincare products for the incredibly budget prices. Read on to see what I thought.

Since vowing this year to start buying only cruelty free cosmetics, I have been hunting high and low for replacements for some of my favourite products and always looking for new brands to add into my collection. I have heard lots about e.l.f. and was dying for a chance to try them out. They are an American brand and I thought you could only get them over there, but you can now get hold of them in the UK from their UK website. They are a great example of a brand that proves cruelty free doesn’t need to be expensive. So is e.l.f. any good?
