Hello 2018! Our Big News

I know it’s nearly the end of January, but hey, whatcha gonna do?  I’ve been off radar for a few months and I’ve totally taken a step back from my blog and instagram for the time being.  Now it’s a new year, I’m feeling a bit more energised, so where have I been and what’s in store this year?  Well, we have some big news to share!

SURPRISE!

If you didn’t catch my five facts about me thread on instagram, then you probably won’t have seen our big news.  The reason I’ve been so rubbish at keeping my socials and blog updated is that I am pregnant!  Our baby is due in July, so I’m just coming out of the first trimester now.

Quite frankly, I felt terrible for the first two months or so – particularly before Christmas.  I still feel wiped out most of the time, so I’m putting no pressure on myself to do anything that stresses me out.  That includes posting daily on instagram and spending my evenings and weekends writing blog posts.

What does that mean for my blog?

Well, it’s a tricky one because at the moment I don’t feel at all like I can keep up with all the photos, writing, promotion and the like.  BUT I enjoy creating content and I don’t want to lose that part of me.  So I will get back into a routine of posting more, but I’m taking it at my own pace.

Hello Jennifer Helen is a lifestyle blog and it’s fair to say that a baby changes your life rather dramatically, so I am planning to write about pregnancy and the baby on here.  I will add another section, so you can totally avoid those posts if you’re not into that, and I will continue to post style and beauty as well.  One thing that I’ll certainly not be doing much of is travelling, so that will take a back seat!  But I will carry on (and probably increase) my posting about Newcastle, as I get out and about eating ALL THE FOOD.

That’s all about now from me.  I’m off to continue dodging feeling sick by eating everything in sight and sleeping all the time!
