I have heard such amazing things about Nars that I can’t really believe I haven’t properly tried anything from them before now. The only Nars product I currently own is a mini Orgasm blush that I loved as soon as I tried it. In case you’ve not seen it, I recently wrote about how obsessed I am with make up palettes and when I saw the new Nars Unfiltered blush palettes, my head was turned. Even more so when they sold out after one day on Space NK. I have also been in the market for an “all in one” palette that will slim down my make up bag when I’m travelling. Step up the Nars x Sarah Moon Give In Take palette.
Nars Blush Palette Unfiltered II (£45)
Since buying the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani blush palette, I have had a bit of a thing for blusher. I never really used to be into it, I just used the same single pot day in and day out. Now, I wear different blush depending on my make up look and often blend two colours together. I love the variety that one palette can give me.
So when I saw the Nars Unfiltered palettes, I couldn’t stop thinking about them. There are two, limited edition palettes available in the range, including new shades, and no Orgasm in sight. Narsissist Unfiltered I has really warm colours – deep reds, purples, apricot and raspberry. As much as I thought the colours were absolutely gorgeous, I knew I wouldn’t really get any wear out of it.
Narsissist Unfiltered II is a much pinkier palette and each colour is very blendable and wearable. I am particularly in love with Nars bestseller, Hot Sand – the peach champagne shade on the bottom left and Fame – a pink amber just to the right of Hot Sand.
All the shades are just gorgeous and I know I will reach for them again and again.
Nars x Sarah Moon Give In Take Palette (£45)
When I was looking for an all in one palette, I so nearly bought the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette because I had heard it was amazing BUT then I remembered how much I didn’t get on with the Magic Foundation and thought I’d take a look to see if there were any alternatives out there.
That’s when I came across the Nars x Sarah Moon palette. When I first saw it, I wasn’t too bothered by it – the eye shadows looked a bit too dark and the colours a bit too warm for me. But then I found myself going back to it and I took a second look.
And I am so glad I did!
I love the shade range, the colour payoff is great and that highlight is just to die for. This is, however, my first impressions, so I’m keen to see how it lives up to high expectations once I take it away with me. I also want to see how well it travels because I know the Nars packaging marks really easily.
First Impressions
I can’t wait to incorporate both of these products into my beauty regime. I love how well they have swatched and the colour intensity looks great. Nars is a cruelty free brand so that is another big thumbs up from me.
And if you’re quick, you can still get £15 off at Space NK when you spend £60. Just put in code EXPLORE17. But hurry, it ends today!
Have you tried any Nars products?

It is so pretty – the highlighter is definitely my favourite so far! The eyeshadows don’t seem as pigmented as I thought but I’m liking the colours.
