Last week I was lucky enough to get invited to the Fenwick Beauty Week launch in Newcastle. A bunch of lovely NE Bloggers met at Mason + Rye in the food hall to be introduced to the Beauty Buyer Grace Ruthven and get a sneak peak of what some of the beauty houses Fenwick hosts were going to be getting involved with over their upcoming Beauty Week. And boy was there a great selection. A lot of the places were limited, but really there was no bad choice to be made – each counter was offering something fabulous, from demonstrations to make overs, manicures, perfume sampling and more. I managed to bag myself a facial from Sisley and a manicure from Nails Inc. I was one happy bunny!
A Facial From Sisley
After indulging in a glass of bubbly and a gorgeous sparkly macaroon I headed over to the Sisley counter where I met my beauty therapist for the facial. I did wonder whether I’d be sat at the counter for the treatment, but actually I whisked through some white double doors into a secret treatment room Fenwick has just off the beauty hall. I didn’t even know it existed!
Inside there was a lovely calming treatment room, away from the hustle and bustle and bright lights of the beauty hall. I was treated to a beautiful facial from Sisley that used such an incredible range of products. My skin felt fantastic afterwards and even though I was a bit paranoid I wasn’t wearing any make up at a beauty event, a couple of people commented on how glowing my skin was looking!
Best of all, I got a wonderful goodie bag full of sample size versions of the products that had been used on my face. Can’t wait to give myself another facial – although I’m sure I won’t be half as good as it as my therapist was! Who, by the way, had absolutely FANTASTIC skin.
Nails Inc Manicure
After my facial I headed to the Nails Inc counter to get my nails spruced up. They’ve been feeling a bit weak since I had gels on a month or so ago, so I was pleased the lovely ladies used the kale strengthening base coat before putting on a couple of coats of the gorgeous Uptown shade. I am absolutely obsessed with this dusky pink at the moment!

Your skin did look incredible after your facial! I think Uptown was the shade I almost went for instead of the bright one, it looks gorgeous on you. x

Thanks lovely – it has felt really soft since as well. Can’t wait to give myself another mini facial with all my samples. My mani lasted really well, even though it wasn’t gels! Uptown is gorgeous.
