For Christmas this year, I decided to share the kindness and got involved with Lady Writes Bloggers Secret Santa. The concept is simple – you have a budget of £20, you get sent the details of another blogger, check out their pages to see what they’re into and send them a lush box of gifts to start December off with a bang!
I’ve been hooked up with a blogger I wasn’t familiar with, which was a lovely chance to learn about someone new, and I’ve searched a load of presents that I am really hoping they will like! Now all that’s left is to put it in the post.
I don’t particularly rate myself as a gift giver – I need a lot of help and more than a dash of inspiration to get it exactly right. Over time I’ve learnt that it’s not all about buying one, big, expensive gift that will make a totally grand gesture, often it’s about the little thoughtful bits and bobs that you pick up because they really remind you of the person you’re buying for. So I’ve tried to get into the headspace of my chosen blogger and sought out things that they will like.
I’ve always been more of a quantity over quality person as well, so I’ve gone for lots of little gifts rather than one big one! Now it’s just fingers crossed that they will enjoy it as well.
