When my lovely blogger friend Chloe, aka Lady Writes, got in touch to ask if I wanted to sample some beauty products for her day job role, I just knew I had to say yes! Chloe works at Ideal World, a TV shopping channel. I love finding hidden gems like this – Ideal World stocks loads of great beauty brands that you can spend hours browsing and reading reviews of. As much as I love the big, established brands that I am familiar with, there’s nothing better than coming across something new and being able to share it with your friends. So here I am sharing what I found, with you!
Elizabeth Grant Skincare
Elizabeth Grant is somewhat of a skincare expert. The brand is Canadian and has been around for 60 years, so they must have a fairly good idea of what they are doing! Their skincare is heavily informed by science and a lot of the products contain anti-ageing ingredients.
I got the Green Power C range, which is ideal because I’ve been looking for a hydrating range of products. This range also includes Elizabeth Grant’s magic ingredient, Torricelumn (no, I don’t know how to pronounce it either!). Made from sea kelp, torricelumn is designed to help your skin absorb moisture and maintain its elasticity. Perfect!
Elizabeth Grant Make Up
I was also lucky enough to get an Elizabeth Grant lip gloss and concealing eye serum in my blogger box.
The lip gloss is an amazing colour for autumn – a rich browny red that provides the perfect hit of colour without being overwhelming. The texture isn’t sticky and it stays well put in lip gloss terms.
I am in the process of trying out the eye serum, but will report back on my progress. It is tinted and I’m not sure the colour is quite right, but so far it is blending well and I love the thicker texture. Watch this space!
Zhuzh Tan Accelerator
Zhuzh (such a fun word to say!) is a tan accelerator that promotes the natural melanin in your skin to speed up bronzing. Perfect for people with fair skin (like me) it makes the tanning process a whole lot easier. Can’t wait to try this to see whether I can keep a bit of post-honeymoon glow going on into the winter months!
Fabulift Fabulous Eyes Serum
Another great eye product, Fabulift eye serum contains a whole load of hyaluronic acid (my fave) and some other jazzy products I’ve never heard of (argireline and syn-ake) which tighten and smooth the area around the eyes. This stuff is great! You just need a small amount and your skin feels instantly tighter. Just what I need for reviving my tired eyes.
I can’t wait to try some of the other new brands from Ideal World. Have you tried any yet? Do you like the look of any of them? Check out Ideal World for more!
